Reasoning

“Why do you trust in God?” a well-known skeptic once asked an aged Christian.  “And what reason have you for believing that God exists?”

The old man’s reply was a follows:

“I am getting an old man now.  For over sixty years I have seen the sun rise in the east and set in the west; every night the Pole-star looks down at me from the heavens; summer and winter have never failed.  I look around on man’s work, and what do I see?  Nothing but finish, change, and decay.  I cannot therefore but believe in a God whose power is always the same.  He who is the same yesterday, today, and forever!”

All our efforts in any direction have their limits, and come to an end, however wonderful they may seem to us, but God’s power is limitless and eternal.
